Maitland’s weekly Farmer’s Market is moving to Lake Lily Park, at the corner of Maitland Avenue and Orlando Avenue, starting on July 12. The move is being made to make way for expansion of Independence Lane north of Horatio Avenue.
The $3.5 million project is expected to add wider sidewalks, brick pavers, trees, landscaping, decorative lighting, and street furniture to a block currently used for market and event parking. Temporary closure of Horatio Avenue is expected later in the project.
The market is open most Sundays, from 9 AM to 1 PM. The market features vendors of food, crafts, local products, plants, flowers and produce. Live music is provided by Performing Arts Matter.
