As you may have noticed, it’s Halloween again. And, once again, Amy Calandrino is organizing a trick-or-treat caravan for kids. The event starts at 6 p.m. on Oct. 31, in Forestwood Court. Amy plans to take the kids around the neighborhood “caravan style,” in costume and traveling as a group.
Unfortunately, this is Amy’s last holiday as organizer of happy kid activities here is Stonewood. As she explained in her flyer, her family is moving out of the area. We will miss her positive, family-friendly attitude and volunteer spirit.
Happily, Amy has arranged for neighbor Colleen Farley to pick up the baton for future holidays. We applaud her for doing her part to keep this great tradition alive.
Watch out for the little trick-or-treaters and young folks who will be walking the neighborhood near and after dark on Halloween. Also, please remember to use extra caution starting Nov. 3, when sunset will suddenly happen around 5:30 p.m.
