Reclaimed water service in Stonewood has been restored after a 17-day outage, according to the City of Altamonte Springs. The water began to flow early on Wednesday, as the system built up pressure to serve the entire city.
City crews had been working to repair damage from heavy rains in mid-September. They encountered additional problems during their work, when a clamp on the main pipe failed.
Most of our neighborhood sprinklers are connected to the city’s reclaimed water supply. The shutdown also affected unclaimed water taps in yards and the supply used to irrigate the landscaping at the entrances to Stonewood.
